Performance provides not only a goal for the student, but an opportunity to
share the experience of dance with family and friends. We at RSDA
recognize the importance of performance in a student’s dance education and
encourage this through opportunities to perform in public. All students
(with the exception of participants in Dance for 2’s & 8 week adult
classes) are included in our year-end production held in late May or early June

A deposit of $40.00 + GST per student, per dance, posted-dated for October
14 is required at the time of registration. This fee is subtracted from
the final purchase total of the costume and is non-refundable. A late fee
of $10.00 plus GST/month is charged on all deposits made after October 14. All cheques
must be made payable to Rising Star Dance Academy. All outstanding fees
(including tuition and any late fees) must be paid before costumes are released.
The costumes will be worn on stage at recital and are yours to keep once paid
for in full.
For all Creative Movement and Pre-Dance students, NO costumes will be ordered
until the recital permission slip is signed and returned to RSDA.

Parent Volunteers
(1 or 2 per class) are required for recital night supervision of students.
Creative,
Predance & 3-5-year-olds in one number only in the first half of the show (with some exceptions), will be supervised in
the balcony until intermission only, and then they must sit with their parents,
either on their lap, or parents may wish to purchase a ticket for them.
Volunteers for these classes may view the entire show from the balcony or
may purchase a ticket for the main floor. Any
classes without volunteers to supervise the students will have a babysitter
hired for them and the cost will be divided amongst the parents of the students in
the class. This babysitting fee must be paid before the Recital.

a gift from us to you, RSDA offers a free DVD of the recital per registered
family to
all RSDA clients.
We provide photo and additional video services which are optional to
purchase.
We encourage all students to participate in the group photos so that they
may be displayed in our lobby.

In
accordance with Theatre rules, videotaping and flash photography are not
permitted during the rehearsal or the recital as the students can be blinded by
the flash.
